Description
The Avengers #4 Twin Cities pedigree (Marvel, 1964) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages. Captain America has become even more of a household name with his new movie appearances, though comic fans have loved this character all along. One of the most memorable stories Stan Lee ever wrote was this one, which had the Avengers team discovering a mysterious figure frozen in a block of ice. They thawed him out to find that it was the 1940s hero Captain America!The character hadn't appeared in comics in years, but the upstart Avengers suddenly found a member of the "Greatest Generation" in their midst, and no kid who read the comic could fail to be impressed by the character's All-American, never-say-die attitude. And it didn't exactly hurt that he was drawn by Jack Kirby, "the king of the comics!"
