    Description

The Amazing Spider-Man #3 (Marvel, 1963) CBCS NM- 9.2 Off-white to white pages. These first Spider-Man issues were so beloved by the kids that originally bought them that very few have survived in grades this high, as the CGC census bears out. This issue features the origin and first appearance of one of Spidey's fiercest foes, the diabolical Doctor Octopus. His origin was also the very first full-length story in the title. The Human Torch makes and appearance, and Steve Ditko did the Spider-Man pin-up, the cover, and the interior art. Overstreet 2015 NM- 9.2 value = $9,700. CGC census 11/15: 18 in 9.2, 15 higher.
