    Description

The Amazing Spider-Man #2 (Marvel, 1963) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white to white pages. This second issue of the title was only Spidey's third appearance ever and it featured the debut of the Vulture, a villain who would vex Spider-Man many times over the next five decades. The second Spidey feature in this comic had the debut of the Terrible Tinkerer, in a sci-fi-themed plot that wouldn't be out of place in any of the Atlas "mystery" tales, drawn by Steve Ditko. How appropriate, then, that Ditko drew both of the book's stories, as well as the high-flying cover. Only 12 copies of this issue have been certified with higher grades by CGC to date. Overstreet 2014 NM- 9.2 value = $12,200. CGC census 11/14: 12 in 9.2, 12 higher. From the Loveland Collection.
