The Amazing Spider-Man #1 (Marvel, 1963) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white pages. The Amazing Spider-Man burst onto the scene six months previously in a one-shot appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15. After tallying the fan mail Stan Lee decided he deserved his own dedicated title. Good decision! This issue is now ranked #7 on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics list and poised to move up as far as #5 within the near future. Spidey's origin is retold, the first Fantastic Four crossover, and the first appearances of J. Jonah Jameson, John Jameson, and the Chameleon are all crammed into this action-fest. It's been over three years since we've seen a higher-graded copy than this lovely! Steve Ditko cover and art. Overstreet 2020 NM- 9.2 value = $84,000. CGC census 4/21: 8 in 9.2, 16 higher.
