    Description

Tales to Astonish #27 (Marvel, 1962) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Off-white to white pages. The first appearance of Ant-Man came just two months after Fantastic Four #1 kicked off Marvel's superhero entries in the Silver Age. Henry Pym (aka Ant-Man) wasn't even in costume in this issue, a hint that Marvel wasn't sure if this was the first of many appearances to follow. One of the hardest Marvel Silver Age "keys" to find in high-grade. Currently ranked #10 on Overstreet's list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics. Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers cover and art. Steve Ditko, Joe Maneely, and Don Heck art. Overstreet 2018 VG 4.0 value = $1,900; FN 6.0 value = $3,800. CGC census 11/18: 62 in 5.0, 158 higher.
