    Description

Tales of Suspense #39 (Marvel, 1963) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. Iron Man makes his dramatic debut in this extremely sought-after Marvel key, and 50 years later the character is still going strong. Jack Kirby provided the cover, and Don Heck handled the interior artwork. This copy is incredibly nice, even by Very Fine+ standards. There is no "Marvel chipping" and the book is clean and bright. Only some minor wear to the spine prevents it from grading higher. Overstreet 2012 VF 8.0 value = $9,000; VF/NM 9.0 value = $18,000. CGC census 5/13: 31 in 8.5, 47 higher.
