    Description

Tales of Suspense #39 (Marvel, 1963) CGC VF 8.0 White pages. Over the past two years, we've offered just four copies of this key issue that have been certified with higher grades. Frankly, this copy appears even nicer than the grade assigned, and its page quality is as fine as it gets! If you're a True Believer, you have a copy of this, or it's near the top of your wish list. Jack Kirby provided one of his most memorable covers for the issue, which has the origin and first appearance of Iron Man, the first appearance of Wong Chu, Iron Man's first villain, and the first appearance and death of Professor Yinsen. Heck, Steve Ditko, and Gene Colan provided the story art. Currently #9 on Overstreet's list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics. Overstreet 2015 VF 8.0 value = $9,600. CGC census 11/15: 43 in 8.0, 85 higher. From the Hemet, CA Collection.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 1291993001 and purchase grader's notes if available.
