Strange Tales #115 (Marvel, 1963) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages. Featuring the origin of Doctor Strange, this sought after key issue can be expected to continue to rise in value as Benedict Cumberbatch continues his role as the Sorcerer Supreme in Thor: Ragnarok; 2018's Avengers: Infinity War; and a likely Doctor Strange sequel. The issue also includes a Human Torch story featuring the second appearance of the Sandman, as well as an early crossover appearance by Spider-Man. The cover is by Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, with interior art by Ditko. Per the website Grade Point Analysis, the 9.6 Twin Cities pedigree copy of this book sold for $14,700 in May, 2016. This fantastic copy even outgrades many pedigreed copies, and is one of just 5 in 9.6, with only 1 copy grading higher. Overstreet 2017 NM- 9.2 value = $2,200. CGC census 11/17: 6 in 9.6, 1 higher.
