Description
Showcase #4 The Flash (DC, 1956) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages. Considered by most to be the first Silver Age comic, the issue contains the origin and first appearance of the Silver Age Flash (Barry Allen), in his new skin-tight red spandex suit! Iris West, the Flash's love interest also makes her first appearance. The classic "photo-film" cover and interior art are by Carmine Infantino and Joe Kubert. Currently the issue sits at the #4 spot on Overstreet's list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics. We expect to see a price topping the VF 8.0 value for this nice copy (the nicest we've seen in several years). Overstreet 2019 FN 6.0 value = $27,800; VF 8.0 value = $62,500. CGC census 8/19: 8 in 7.0, 25 higher.View the certification for CGC Certification ID 2044319007, including grader's notes if available and a link to the latest full census report for the issue.*
