Showcase #4 The Flash (DC, 1956) CGC FN+ 6.5 Cream to off-white pages. The comic book that started the Silver Age was the origin and first appearance of the Silver Age Flash (Barry Allen). As Paul Levitz later noted, this book "improbably [combined] four of the most important talents ever to work at DC for the only time on a single story," referring to editor Julius Schwartz, writer Robert Kanigher, penciler Carmine Infantino, and inker Joe Kubert.
