    Showcase #4 Murphy Anderson File Pedigree (DC, 1956) CGC FR 1.0 Off-white pages. It's generally considered the book that officially marked the beginning of the Silver Age of Comics. DC reinvented one of its Golden Age superheroes - The Flash. It's currently ranked #4 on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics, edged by the first issue of Fantastic Four, a monumental issue itself, although it came out some five years later. Two of DC's most important artists, Carmine Infantino and Joe Kubert, combined for the cover and story art. Besides the origin and first appearance of the Silver Age Flash (Barry Allen), the issue also has the first appearance of Iris West. CGC notes, "Piece re-attached to front cover with tape." Overstreet 2018 GD 2.0 value = $6,500. CGC census 7/19: 12 in 1.0, 306 higher.
