Showcase #22 Green Lantern (DC, 1959) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white pages. This is a solid mid-grade copy of a major DC key issue that is notoriously difficult to find in high grades; in fact, we've offered only six copies in VF+ 8.5 condition or better. It features the origin and first appearance of the Silver Age version Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), a major character in the DC Universe and who will be featured in the Lanterns TV series later this year. Also of note: This issue features the first appearances of Abin Sur and Carol Ferris (the future Star Sapphire). The cover and art are by Gil Kane. Currently listed on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics. Overstreet 2024 FN 6.0 value = $7,000; VF 8.0 value = $21,400. CGC census 2/26: 33 in 6.5, 65 higher.From the G & T Collection.
