    Marvel Super-Heroes #12 (Marvel, 1967) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages. Tied for the highest grade, this copy of the first issue of the title contains the origin and first appearance of Captain Marvel and the first appearances of Yon-Rogg and Una. All early Captain Marvel appearances are seeing renewed interest due to the recent possibility of a Captain Marvel feature film being produced. Gene Colan penciled the cover and interior art for the book, and backup features include reprinted stories of the Human Torch (Dick Ayers art), the Destroyer (Don Rico art), Captain America (John Romita Sr. art), the Black Knight (Joe Maneely art), and the Sub-Mariner (Bill Everett art). Overstreet 2016 NM- 9.2 value = $550. CGC census 8/16: 16 in 9.8, none higher.
