Description

Fantastic Four #48 (Marvel, 1966) CGC NM 9.4 White pages. An eye-catching copy of one of the greatest Marvel comics of the 1960s! This classic featured the first appearances of world-devouring Galactus and his reluctant herald and eventual hero, the Silver Surfer. Featuring additional appearances by the Inhumans and the Watcher. Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott provided the offbeat cover and story art.
The upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps movie has generated a lot of heat under key FF books, and the Surfer and Galactus' expected return to the big screen make this issue a scorcher. It is currently tied for #45 on Overstreet's list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics.
The CGC holder bears a CVA sticker denoting superior eye appeal for the assigned grade. Overstreet 2024 NM- 9.2 value = $12,000. CGC census 5/25: 133 in 9.4, 148 higher.
