Fantastic Four #3 (Marvel, 1962) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white to white pages. We have only ever offered a copy that graded higher than 9.2 on one occasion before! Check out the airy blue background and compare the book to whatever smudgy grayish copy you might have lying around, and you'll want to go after this serious upgrade.
While this book doesn't sell cheaply in any grade, you could argue that the values should be higher on this issue, as #3 introduced the signature look of Marvel's first superhero team. The first couple of issues looked more like a monster mag than a superhero book -- intentionally so, as Marvel was shying away from costumed adventurers at the time. But thank goodness for us Stan Lee had a change of heart, because not only did the Fantastic Four don their signature costumes here, but the issue also had the first appearances of the Baxter Building, the Fantasti-Car, and the Pogo Plane! Jack Kirby drew the cool cover and art for the book. Overstreet 2014 NM- 9.2 value = $11,500. CGC census 11/14: 11 in 9.2, 4 higher. From the Loveland Collection.
