    Description

Fantastic Four #1 (Marvel, 1961) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages. This is where it all started for Marvel as we know it today! Marvel was at the proverbial bottom of the comic heap in 1961, and this book took comic reader by surprise, with Stan Lee's superlative scripting skills and Jack Kirby's demonstrative delineation. The origin and first appearance of the Fantastic Four, Marvel's first superhero team, was just the ticket to bring Marvel up from the depths, and thrust the publisher into the Silver Age spotlight. The origin and first appearance of the villainous (though misunderstood) Mole Man is also a highlight of the issue. A nice-looking copy. Overstreet 2013 FN 6.0 value = $7,500; VF 8.0 value = $27,000. CGC census 11/13: 33 in 7.0, 46 higher.
