Description

Daredevil #1 Twin Cities pedigree (Marvel, 1964) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages. It's the origin and first appearance of Daredevil (and his alter ego, crusading attorney Matt Murdock) and the first appearances of Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. By this point in the formative years of Marvel it was becoming evident that readers liked flawed heroes, and Stan Lee took that notion further by creating a blind superhero who continues to be a fan favorite five decades later. The memorable cover is by Jack Kirby and Bill Everett, the latter of whom provided the interior art. This stunning copy is just the third 9.6 copy Heritage has ever offered, and its bright white cover background is a thrill to behold. Overstreet 2012 NM- 9.2 value = $9,000. CGC census 7/12: 11 in 9.6, 2 higher. From the Doug Schmell / PedigreeComics.com Collection.
