DescriptionAmazing Fantasy #15 (Marvel, 1962) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white pages. The most coveted Silver Age issue of all is also one of the hardest to find in high grade. In the past three years, we've only offered three higher-graded certified copies than this. The demand for this issue in all grades continues to skyrocket. In one of our early Signature auctions in 2002, we sold a certified copy in this grade for $9,775. What a bargain for the winning bidder that was! It's now a solid six-figure book in this grade and entrenched as the single most valuable Silver Age comic book, far in front of the second most valuable on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics list - The Incredible Hulk #1. The reason: the origin and first appearance of Spider-Man, and the first appearances of Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko combined for the classic cover, and Ditko began his famous run as the interior artist for this and the succeeding issues of The Amazing Spider-Man title. Overstreet 2019 VF 8.0 value = $98,600. CGC census 10/19: 42 in 7.5, 56 higher.
