    Description

Amazing Fantasy #15 (Marvel, 1962) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. One of the most significant comic books of the 1960s, this issue surpassed the likes of Showcase #4, Fantastic Four #1, and others to become the most sought-after Silver Age comic book, one that rivals rivals many key Golden Age comics in terms of value. Spider-Man made his historic debut in this issue (as did his Uncle Ben and Aunt May), and was such a hit that his own title was on the stands just seven months later. Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko collaborated on the famous cover, with Ditko providing the interior art for the Spider-Man story and backup features. (He would go on to draw the first 38 issues of Amazing Spider-Man, playing a key role in the character's formative years.) Overstreet 2013 FN 6.0 value = $16,000; VF 8.0 value = $56,000. CGC census 7/13: 46 in 7.0, 72 higher.
