Showcase #8 (DC, 1957) CGC VF 8.0 Light tan to off-white pages. Carmine Infantino's earlier cover of issue #4 was integral to the birth of the Silver Age. His first major comics work came as a teenager in 1942, and he was prolific with first Timely, then DC for years, but really didn't get his just due until his work on the Silver Age Flash. One look at this cover tells you why. This issue features the second appearance of the Silver Age Flash and the origin and first appearance of Captain Cold. Rarely found in high grade, Very Fine is the highest grade CGC has awarded yet for the issue. Overstreet 2002 VF 8.0 value = $7,200. From the collection of Bobby Harmon.
