God Nose #1 Jaxon File Copy (Jack Jackson, 1964) Condition: FN. This landmark comic is generally considered the first commercially available Underground Comix publication. Jack Jackson, who signed his work "Jaxon" ("in honor of Jax Beer", he used to like to say) created the character while attending college in Austin, Texas. The strip caught on in college-supported papers, and Jack wound up self-publishing this purple-covered edition and selling it wherever he could. This attractive copy comes directly from Jack's private collection, and had been stashed away in his studio for many years. Fogel's Underground Comix Price Guide FN value = $3,000. Adult content. From the Jack Jackson ("Jaxon") Collection.
