    Description

Fantastic Four #48 (Marvel, 1966) CGC NM/MT 9.8 White pages. Sensational copy right down to its pearly-white pages! This important issue came out just three months after the introduction of the Inhumans to the Marvel Universe (in issue #45) and just two four months before the first appearance of the Black Panther (issue #52). This is arguably the most key of all the issues of the title in 1965-66 when Stan Lee and Jack Kirby were rapid-firing new characters, concepts, and story arcs. Galactus and the Silver Surfer make their first appearances in #48, an issue that also saw appearances by the Inhumans and the Watcher. Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott cover and art. Overstreet 2020 NM- 9.2 value = $3,800. CGC census 6/21: 39 in 9.8, none higher.
