Fantastic Four #4 Curator pedigree (Marvel, 1962) CGC NM+ 9.6 White pages. This may well be the most desirable book in this amazing run. It's certainly the first 9.6 we have ever offered. We've never seen the yellow background of this book look this appealing, and before dismissing that as mere hype, have a look at the 80 other copies in our online archives to see what we mean!
It's the first Silver Age appearance of the Sub-Mariner, in a story most every comic reader will remember, with the Human Torch burning off the beard of a mysterious derelict to reveal the face of Namor. Jack Kirby drew the story, as well as the cover... complete with the Thing wearing his short-lived booties! A milestone issue, and a memorable copy. Overstreet 2011 NM- 9.2 value = $10,000. CGC census 2/12: 4 in 9.6, none higher.
