Currently ranked #3 on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics list, Fantastic Four #1 clearly launched the Marvel Age in 1961 paving the way for Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, and many other superheroes. Featured is the origin and first appearance of the Fantastic Four, Marvel's first superhero team by the pre-eminent team of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Kirby provided both the cover and interior art and was the primary artist for the title for over eight years. Also featured is the origin and first appearance of Mole Man.
