    Description

Fantastic Four #1 (Marvel, 1961) CBCS FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. This issue contains the legendary first appearance of the FF, the first Marvel super-team (patterned after DC's successful Justice League of America). This was the beginning of the Marvel Age, and Jack Kirby's dynamic artwork set the stage for a plethora of tortured and troubled superheroes that would entertain generations of Marvelites. This is a solid mid-grade copy for the collector on a budget, and it presents very nicely, with bright cover inks and excellent clarity. Currently rated #3 on Overstreet's list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics. Overstreet 2016 FN 6.0 value = $8,400; VF 8.0 value = $29,000. CGC census 11/16: 43 in 7.0, 56 higher.
