    Amazing Spider-Man #8 (Marvel, 1964) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white pages. Marvel decided to capitalize on the youthful nature of their newest superhero sensation with this "Special 'Tribute-To-Teen-Agers' Issue!!" Peter Parker gets into a boxing match with school bully Flash Thompson and Spidey battles a robot gone haywire. This issue also has a six page backup story drawn by Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, in which Spider-Man battles the Human Torch, and the rest of the Fantastic Four make a brief appearance. Of the nearly 300 copies of this issue currently certified by CGC, only eight have been graded higher than this copy. Overstreet 2003 NM 9.4 value = $1,500.
