    Description

Amazing Fantasy #15 (Marvel, 1962) CGC FN+ 6.5 Cream to off-white pages. It's extraordinary to have two copies of this key-est of Silver Age keys in FN+ 6.5 or better in the same sale. Prior to this sale, we've offered just two Universal copies nicer over the past 18 months. After 55 years, we're still in the Age of the Amazing Spider-Man, and this issue, which introduces the superhero, is ranked #1 on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics. In fact, the issue's value among the collecting world has it ahead of all but a few Golden Age classics, which preceded AF #15 by some 20 years. Besides introducing the world to Spider-Man, this issue had the first appearances of Uncle ben and Aunt May. Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko cover, with Ditko interior art. Overstreet 2017 FN 6.0 value = $28,000; VF 8.0 value = $80,000. CGC census 11/17: 56 in 6.5, 138 higher. From the Douglas Schmell PedigreeComics.com Collection.
