Amazing Fantasy #15 (Marvel, 1962) CGC FN- 5.5 Off-white pages. Steve Ditko brings the Web-Slinger to life here in Spider-Man's very first appearance. Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko helped usher in the Marvelous Marvel age of comics with neurotic, angst-ridden characters such as Peter Parker. This historic issue also features the first appearance of Aunt May and Uncle Ben, and tells Spider-Man's origin. Steve Ditko did all of the interior artwork. Currently this issue ranks #1 on Overstreet's list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics. This copy is tight with great cover gloss, only minor imperfections along the spine and corners, and none of that pesky "Marvel chipping" so associated with this issue's right front cover edge. Overstreet 2017 FN 6.0 value = $28,000. CGC census 2/18: 91 in 5.5, 256 higher. From the Simi Valley Collection.
