    Description

Amazing Fantasy #15 (Marvel, 1962) CBCS Restored NM+ 9.6 Slight Off-white to white pages. The most valuable Silver Age comic book issue of all, and this copy rivals in appearance the finest we've seen. CGC hasn't certified anything higher than 9.6 to date -- Universal or Apparent -- and precious few at 9.6. The first appearance of Spider-Man has driven the value to heights unforeseen in 1988, when the issue overtook Fantastic Four #1 and Showcase #4 to become the most valuable Silver Age issue. At that time, when Overstreet listed values for only three grades (Good, Fine, and Mint), a Mint copy had a value of a mere $1,500! CBCS notes, "Amateur Restoration includes: Moderate amount of color touch on cover. Right edge trimmed." Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko collaborated on the cover. Overstreet 2015 GD 2.0 value = $4,400; VG 4.0 value = $8,800; FN 6.0 value = $20,000; VF 8.0 value = $64,000; VF/NM 9.0 value = $150,000; NM- 9.2 value = $240,000. CGC census 10/15: 3 in 9.6, none higher.
