Zap Comix #0 First Printing (Apex Novelties, 1967) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Cream to off-white pages. When Robert Crumb finally got around to doing his "dream project" of an all-original comic book in 1967, he wound up naively turning the art over to a casual acquaintance who promised to print it for him. The friend, and the art, disappeared, and Crumb cobbled together another book which became Zap Comix #1. This book was printed around the time following Zap #2, after Crumb had found photocopies of his original comic. He re-inked the copies to use, and this is the result. This is a hard-to-find first printing, as evidenced by the tiny hairline within the "Z" in Zap, and the use of a small area of yellow ink within the type on the back cover. Fogel's Underground Comix Price Guide FN 6.0 value = $600. CGC census 10/06: 1 in 5.0, 14 higher. Adult themes.
