Motor City Comics #1 First Printing (Rip Off Press, 1969) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white to white pages. After constant nagging from Trina Robbins and other feminists, Robert Crumb did a turnaround with his "Lenore Goldberg and her Girl Commandos" storyline in Motor City. This girl was one tough cookie! It's a great tale, as are the others in this collection, all centered on Crumb's many visits to Detroit. First printings of this book, which launched the Rip Off Press company, are notoriously tough to find. This copy's cover is a little weak on the black inks, but remains flat and clean. Fogel's Underground Comix Price Guide FN 6.0 value = $150. CGC census 10/06: 1 in 6.5, 1 higher. Adult themes.
