    Description

Marching Marvin the Red Watcher #nn (Sunbury Productions, 1966) Condition: VF/NM. Oh, to have been a college student in the turbulent 1960s! As the entire country was bombarded by nightly television reports from Vietnam, a new generation of youth was on a quest to find something... different. Not content with the standard establishment-sanctioned newsstand comic books, creative students began churning out their own skewed versions; people like Gilbert Shelton, Vaughn Bode, and Joel Beck. Beck is considered to be one of the very first of the Underground artists, and this book is one of his best. It's a tough item to find in high grade; with only one printing, it remains quite a desirable book. Listed at $350 in NM in the 2000 Comic Art Price Guide by Jerry Weist.
