Description

Foo #2 Original Printing (Animal Town Comics, 1958) Condition: VG+. Robert Crumb and his brother Charles made their first stab at marketing their own comic books in 1958 with Foo, an EC-inspired satire comic the boys had printed in their hometown of Dover, Delaware. This second (of three) issues features Robert's "My Encounter with Dracula" featuring himself as a character (an idea he would revisit many, many times in his later Underground Comix work). This is only the third copy we've auctioned, and while it does show some wear from reading and handling, it's a still-attractive copy of an extremely rare and important comic. Not currently listed in Fogel's Underground Comix Price Guide.
