    Amazing Stories V3#5 (Ziff-Davis, 1928) Condition: VF. This historic issue is a stand-out item featuring the first appearance of Buck Rogers in any medium, as well as a wonderful Frank R. Paul cover that features a scene from E. E. "Doc" Smith's first published story, "The Skylark of Space." Created by Philip Francis Nowlan, it was Buck who would go on to fame in newspapers, TV, and movies, as well as providing the inspiration for countless imitators through the years. This copy is in wonderful condition, with bright, clean, and complete covers and spine, and supple pages. There is some tanning to the page edges. Bookery's Guide to Pulps FN value = $800.
