Amazing Stories August 1928 (Gernsback, 1928) Condition: FN. This issue is famous for featuring the first appearance of Buck Rogers in any medium, as well as a wonderful Frank R. Paul cover that features a scene from E. E. "Doc" Smith's first published story, "The Skylark of Space." Created by Philip Francis Nowlan, it was Buck who would go on to fame in newspapers, TV, and movies, as well as providing the inspiration for countless imitators through the years.
