    Weird Tales - December 1932 (Popular Fiction) Condition: Apparent VG/FN. The first appearance of Conan the Cimmerian, in the story "The Phoenix on the Sword" by Robert E. Howard. Cover by J. Allen St. John. Restoration includes a chip replaced at the top left corner of the cover and some color touch. Small water stain to bottom edge of back cover, affecting some of the pages. Complete cover. Spine is complete and ranges from yellow to orange. Cream to light tan pages with some signs of flaking at the bottom edges. Bookery's Guide to Pulps GD value = $240; VG value = $600; FN value = $1,200.
