Detective Tales has issues dated April 1940 (classic cover); September 1947; April 1948; July 1948; August 1948; March 1949; July 1949; February 1950; March 1950. Also included are Detective Book Magazine Spring 1945; Dime Detective Magazine December 1950; Double Detective November 1937 (first issue); FBI Detective Stories December 1950; New Detective Magazine February 1951; Popular Detective November 1937; November 1949; May 1952; Strange Detective Mysteries January 1942 (Fair/GD); and February-March 1942. Included in this lot is a cancelled check, dated September 26, 1932, from the Frank A. Munsey Company to writer Erle Stanley Gardner for the amount of $600.
