    The Magic Carpet Magazine Group (Popular Fiction, 1933-34) Condition: Average VG/FN. This title is the continuation of Oriental Stories, and this lot consists of the complete five-issue run. Included are issues cover-dated January 1933, April 1933, July 1933, October 1933, and January 1934 (first and only pulp appearance of Robert E. Howard's Red Sonya (sic) of Rogatino, who inspired Marvel's Red Sonja). Cover art by Margaret Brundage and J. Allen St. John. Most of these copies look better than the grade assigned, but have tan (yet supple) pages. Bookery's Guide to Pulps approximate value for group = $1,425.From the John McLaughlin Collection.
