Description

Picture Crimes #1 (David McKay Publications, 1937) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white pages. A very rare early comic format book, similar in design and content to Detective Comics #1. This is just the fourth copy that we've ever seen, and the highest grade we have previously offered was only a GD+ 2.5. Gerber rates it a "7" or "scarce" on its Scarcity Index, and the book is so rare that Overstreet only notes "a GD+ copy sold in 2012 for $478" by Heritage! CGC census 11/16: 2 in 7.5, 1 higher. From the Philip M. Levine Collection.

CGC Grader Notes:
finger bends right center of front cover
small foreign substance left center of back cover
small, multiple stain bottom of back cover
