Description
New Comics #2 (DC, 1936) CGC GD 2.0 Off-white to white pages. This obscure Platinum Age comic ties with two others as the highest-graded unrestored copy on the CGC census. It's also the third unrestored copy we've encountered so far. The first appearance of the Federal Men. Stories by Sheldon Mayer and Walt Kelly. Art by Mayer, Kelly, and Joe Shuster. The Photo Journal-Guide to Comic Books rates it a "7" ("scarce"), and Overstreet lists it as "rare". CGC notes, "The DC Universe Collection." Overstreet 2024 GD 2.0 value = $1,460.
