Detective Comics #8 (DC, 1937) CGC VG+ 4.5 Cream to off-white pages. Earlier we described Atomic Comics #1, which featured a cover swipe of this issue. At least the thief had good taste, because this is a classic cover from Creig Flessel, one of the greatest DC's pre-1940 artists. Flessel also worked on the interior of this issue as did Superman co-creator, Joe Shuster. Gerber rates this issue "scarce," and CGC's census seems to corroborate -- just three copies of the issue have earned grades higher than 5.5 to date. This is just the third time we've offered a copy of #8 in our Signature and twice-monthly online auctions since our first auction of November 2001. Come and get it!
