Detective Comics #4 (DC, 1937) CGC GD 2.0 Brittle pages. Rated by Gerber's Photo Journal Guide as an 8 or "rare," This seldom seen pre-Batman Detective is so tough to come by that we have only offered three copies in the past 15 years! Two were Universal VG- copies and one was an extensively restored Apparent FN+. Taking that into consideration, this GD copy looks mighty fine, we must say! The cops get a break on this senses-shattering cover by Mr. Creig Flessel who also provided interior art for the issue. Joe Shuster art. Gardner Fox text story. Overstreet 2015 GD 2.0 value = $1,800. CGC census 3/16: 1 in 2.0, 8 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
