Big Little Book #731 Mickey Mouse the Mail Pilot - Variant Copy (Whitman, 1933) Condition: VG+. A true rarity, one considered to be the holy grail of Big Little Books, one that has held the top spot on Overstreet's Top 20 Big Little Books list for some time. There are approximately three copies of this rare variant known to be in circulation, and this is the first we've ever seen. It is the same book as the #717 second edition, but with the story title printed on the front cover and a small black box printed over the existing "No. 717" on the back cover. This is a beautiful copy in solid condition. Overstreet does not list values for this edition, but does note that a copy "sold at auction in 2001 in Fine condition for $5,090", and an unrestored FR/GD copy sold for $2,500 more recently.Auction Info
