100 Pages of Comics #101 (Dell, 1937) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white pages. A very early Dell (which has no number on the front cover, but #101 on the back). The grade is a real eye-opener -- it's not easy to find Dell Giants published even 20 years later in this kind of condition! The Golden Age hadn't even begun when this square bound comic was published, and even mighty Dell was only publishing three series at the time -- Popular Comics, The Funnies, and The Comics. Alley Oop, Wash Tubbs, Captain Easy, Tailspin Tommy, and Tom Mix are among the stars of this pre-Golden Age book. Overstreet 2013 NM- 9.2 value = $2,350. CGC census 2/14: 1 in 9.2, none higher.
