    Description

Feature Funnies #1 and Promotional Display Card (Chesler, 1937) Condition of comic book: GD+. Before Harry "A" Chesler released the first issue of Feature Funnies, he had a special color promotional display card printed for retailers, with an image of the cover, along with some copy about what the reader could expect inside. And boy does this comic deliver! This issue featured the first comic book appearances of Mickey Finn, and Dixie Dugan, along with a cover illustration of Joe Palooka, by the venerable Rube Goldberg! Many other strips were also appeared in this volume, including The Bungle Family, and Flossie. The display measures 11" x 14", and, aside from some edge wear and light creases, is in Good condition. This lot includes a copy of Feature Funnies #1 in GD+. Overstreet 2006 GD 2.0 value = $322.
