Feature Books #nn (1B) Dick Tracy (David McKay Publications, 1937) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. A superlative copy of the first comic dedicated to Dick Tracy, a 100-page book so difficult to find that Gerber's Photo-Journal Guide to Comics rates it a "9" ("very rare") on its Scarcity Index and Overstreet lists it as "very rare, five known copies; two incomplete". Comic Book Marketplace even listed it among the 20 rarest Golden Age comics. This is the only unrestored copy (and one of a mere two copies) certified by CGC to date. It's also the only certified copy we've seen, and the nicest of the three unrestored copies we've had the chance to offer. Overstreet 2020 FN 6.0 value = $4,500; VF 8.0 value = $11,250. CGC census 9/20: 1 in 7.0, none higher.

View the certification for CGC Certification ID 1971771001 and purchase grader's notes if available.
