    Group of five drawings from Vargas' first sketchbook. These were created while working for the Adelson Hat Company and Butterick Patterns, his first job in America involving artwork.
    Mixed media on paper, image approximately 8.5 x 5.5. Initialed lower right.
    A color copy of the sketchbook cover is included.
