Win Mortimer and Tex Blaisdell Inferior Five #9 Cover Original Art (DC, 1968). Actually one of the first "legacy" teams in the DC Universe, the Inferior Five were all the children of other heretofore unheard of Heroes. Merryman (essentially Woody Allen in a Jester outfit), Dumb Bunny (strong as an ox and almost as smart), White Feather (the white feather... sign of the chicken), Awkwardman (super strong, but clumsy), and the Blimp (he flies... slowly)... these were the Inferior 5. This great cover shows the MAD-cap humor they brought to the scene. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". There is glue residue from paste-up text and logo, and some of the paste-up is missing. The "5" in the logo appears to be vintage, but likely from the cover of issue #10. Some minor handling and tanning, with some minor spots/stains, overall in Very Good condition.
