Wally Wood Weird Science #22 Cover Original Art (EC, 1953). The cover blurb promised "Incredible Science-Fiction Stories" and that is exactly what EC delivered! Comic book scenes such as this cover would help inspire the 1958 classic cult-favorite horror movie The Blob! Also inspiring is that fantastic Wally Wood art. This is a particularly nice piece, and features his "Old English" font signature in the lower left of the ink over graphite 13.5" x 19.5" image area. Created on EC Bristol board. The logo and all header elements are stat paste-up, as is the blurb across the bottom of the image area. Toned, with a bit of whiteout art correction.
