    Description

Wally Wood - The Rejects Preliminary Original Art (c. 1968). A series of rare Wally Wood preliminary drawings, featuring characters from The Rejects, who appeared in Wood's witzend. Starting with various Wood characters, Bhob Stewart helped Wood put together a proposal for a Saturday morning cartoon titled "Fearless Ferris...and the Misfits", which never came to fruition. As a result, the characters, Ferris, Glom, Venus, Bang Head, Handy, and Bagtop and Ragmop, were used in a story called "The Rejects" in witzend. Here are seven preliminary sketches with those characters. Rendered in blue pencil on 8.5" x 11" layout paper. The toned papers have some creasing and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
